Do I need an app to control the Root® coding robots?

Yes. Root® coding robots are controlled by their companion iRobot Coding App.

The iRobot Coding App is compatible with Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) devices running most major, up-to-date operating systems, including Android, Windows, Chrome OS, iOS and macOS. 

The iRobot Coding App can be downloaded from the App store, Google Play store or used online at code.irobot.com. When connecting to your robot using the online Web App, please also ensure you are using a browser that supports Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) technology.
